at least i'm consistent

you may remember my post of last year's picture with santa. let's just say that this year didn't fare any better.

universal islands of adventure

while we were in florida with the gfolks, we took a trip to universal's islands of adventure. it seemed like it was going to be fun, although i was a bit scared at the thought of all those rides!


here i am enjoying the seemingly never-ending, long walk to the park


once in the park, i quickly learned that daddy's love of comics isn't quite transferring to me. i.e. wolverine scares me


if you know anything about my daddy, this picture represents a tough dilema for him.


luckily, he chose to spend time with me!

during lunch, mom and dad decided to show off one of their new party games....lemonface. and despite the look on my face, i really do like to eat lemons.


after mom, dad and gdad rode some adult rides, we went on over to suess landing, which i'm really loving the story cat in the hat right now. coninkydink, i'm sure.


since my pop works on amusement park advertising (as mommy will be doing shortly as well), i guess its lucky for me that i liked my first ride.

note on this pic....contrary to the above effeminate wave, my daddy is extremely masculine. just ask to see his hairy back/chest/ears/nose.

we were only there long enough to visit 2 of the 5 islands and eat lunch, but boy was i tuckered out by the time we got home!

a lovely time in the land of lakes

between december 16th and the 20th, we took a family trip to florida to see my daddy's parents. i had a great time!

i got to fly for the first time....


hang out with my grandma....


take walks with my grandpa...


i entertained everyone at mommy and daddy's bday dinner....


but, alas, we still had to leave. at least we left with happy faces.


you can't tell from the pic, but i was actually sad to go.

december holidays

for the record, i'm jewish. born of a jewish woman, that makes me jewish by blood. since we were travelling to see my gfolks in florida over Hanukkah, mommy and daddy decided it was too difficult to start celebrating the festival of lights with me. we do have a new family menorah (thanks to daddy's gift to mom), i know the dreidel song from a fun little people toy that i have, and i can say Hanukkah, menorah and dreidel. since daddy doesn't have an audio blog for me, then there's no evidence that i'm learning that part of my family.

so having said that, here's plenty of evidence that i enjoyed christmas. here i am coming down the steps....

santa gave me another new friend....


i had a very nice holiday season. and there are many more pix of me ripping the packages to shreds. i chose not to post them as i thought it may just get repititive.

catching up is hard to do....(part 2)

november was extremely mild weather. in fact, its been fairly nice all winter so far. anyways, i finally convinced mommy to catch up on that fall gardening that we needed to do....


my aunt becky, uncle tommy and cousin ali came into town for a steeler game. we had a great time playing, i promise. daddy was just being silly and only caught us while we were watching a little tv/shrek.


mommy and i practiced a lot for pictures. here she is teaching me to do my cheese face....

catching up is hard to do....(part 1)

so its been about 3 months since my last update. i'm sorry, but there was just so much going on. three holidays, several family outings - including my first plane trip to florida to see my grandparents, and just tons of cuteness. I think the best way to do this is to go a month at a time....

here's October:

the nighbors, mom and I went to the Children's Museum of Pittsburgh.

we took time away from playing to pose


and then went right back to splashing around


One of my friend's from daycare, Toby, and i went to a place called idlewild. they have a pumpkin patch, rides and more.





a quick aside from the update for a little background on my friend toby. mommy went to highschool with his parents. i don't think she was friends with his mommy at the time (but is now), but i know that mommy partied and such with his daddy...murris. apparently, murris is legendary for teenage schenanigans, so i'm really hoping to have tons of fun with toby as we get older.

now back to the catching up thing....

my folks couldn't decide what i should be for halloween. it was either....

it turned out that i can roar better than i can cluck. so that's how i got my candy this year. and it turns out that i LOVE candy.
